Sample Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival Miami
Arrive in Miami by mid-afternoon
Met by guides for a tour of the historic Cuban enclave of Little Havana
Welcome dinner and overview/discussion of the adventure in Cuba
Lodging will be at the airport Hilton for easy access to the morning flight

Day 2: Havana
Arrive Havana Jose Marti Airport from Miami
Lunch in Havana at Café Laurent, an upscale paladar (private restaurant)
Check-in to premier hotel in Old Havana
Walking Tour of Old Havana (Habana Vieja) – the 4 Plazas, the Prado, Plaza Central pointing out museums, shopping, bars, etc for individual later visits
Rooftop Dinner at paladar La Moneda Cubana (watch Fortress night gun firing)

Day 3: Havana
Visit Plaza of the Revolution – central to modern Cuban history
Private tour with a tobacco expert from the famed H. Upmann Cigar factory
Rooftop lunch at paladar Café Laurent in Vedado area
Visit famed and iconic Hotel Nacional – playground of the stars
Driving tour of the city, including Oceanside Malecon, 5th Avenue and historic streets and sites
Dinner / show at famed Tropicana nightclub, using 1950s convertibles for transportation and enjoying a private dance lesson with some of the troupe

Day 4: Varadaro
Private meeting with acclaimed Cuban writer / artist
Tour of Finca Vigia, Ernest Hemingway’s home, where he wrote many of his masterpieces
Drive to Varadero Peninsula for days of sun, beach and blue Caribbean waters

Days 5 – 6: Varadaro Beaches
No trip to Cuba is complete without some time spent on some of the most pristine beaches and coral reefs in the entire Caribbean! Fine-grained white sand, swaying palms, crystal clear blue waters – all these beckon from the Varadero Peninsula and our luxurious accommodations. There are numerous activities for everyone:
• scuba diving the reefs and wrecks, with abundant wildlife
• snorkeling in the nearby bays
• a catamaran cruise out to a private island for swimming and snorkeling and lunch
• para-sailing and golf
• deep sea fishing
• lounging on a beach hammock with a good book or magazine
• sipping classic Cuban cocktails like mojitos and daiquiris (both invented right here on this island!)
