Canouan

Guidebook: Introduction

Welcome To Canouan!

Canouan, often known as the “Land of the Turtles” is located in the heart of the Grenadines and is the ideal destination for relaxation. With its lush vegetation and spectacular views, leaving may be the hardest thing to do. With your two Quintess residences situated on a 1,200-acre property and all the amenities at your disposal, little is left to be desired.

Tee off on the majestic Jim Fazio-designed golf course with magnificent panoramic views of St. Vincent and the Grenadines where on a clear day Grenada is easily visible. The signature 13th hole is the perfect location to unwind in the evenings and enjoy the sunset with canapés from our Master Chef and wine from the exclusive wine list. Rated annually as one the best golf courses in the Caribbean; playing this course is almost mandatory.

Sail to the Southern Grenadines by catamaran or speed boat and enjoy island hopping and world class snorkeling at Tobago Cays. The warm turquoise water is an invitation to explore while snorkeling with the turtles and other fascinating sea life. Known for scenes in “Pirates of the Caribbean,” Tobago Cays should be on the top of your list of activities to do in Canouan. Enjoy lunch on Mayreau or Union while exploring this part of the globe.

Pirates of the Pink Sands Kids Club provides complimentary service for children (age 4 to 14) daily with educational and fun activities while you enjoy the beach and recreational avocations including tennis, wind surfing, hobie cats or trek to the top of Canouan on the 870-foot hike to Mount Royal. Work out in the fitness center with all the equipment you desire. The seventeenth-century church located in the centre of the resort is the ideal location for nuptials or just to bask in the vision of ancient history.

Enjoy great food and service at the Italian restaurant, La Piazza, complete with a never ending wine list or dine at Bellini’s, serving freshly grilled entrées in the open air and overlooking the golf course. Venture off the resort for happy hour and dinner at the Tamarind Beach while rocking to the sounds of a great Caribbean D.J. Dining at home is also a great option with a well-crafted private villa menu and the fresh Canouan breeze — the ideal setting for an exceptional dining experience.

The warmth of Canouan Island and its residents awaits you where we welcome you as a guest and say goodbye as friends.
