BEYOND FIRST CLASS: THE QUINTESS COLLECTION

by Susan Kime

The Quintess Collection has grown with the times. In 2004, it opened as a high-end destination club, whose vision was well explicated by Pete Estler, Founder and CEO: “We want to be the best, not the biggest.” Now, eleven years later, it is a leader in private luxury travel, having evolved into much more than a destination club. The destination is a part, but not the whole.

CeBlue Villas, Anguilla

In 2015, it is more of a lifestyle/travel club, with many significant travel partners, all of which provide its members with exclusive access to significant residences as well as unique, customized travel experiences in the world’s most sought‐after destinations. 650 Quintess Collection members travel to over 60 destinations including Anguilla, Aspen, Bhutan, Croatia, Lake Como, London, Los Cabos, New York, Paris, St. Barts, St. Croix, St. Thomas, South Africa, Tanzania, and Tuscany. New destinations brought on in 2014 include China, Myanmar/Burma, Israel and Jordan, Alaska, Ecuador and Peru, St. Barts, St. Croix, Santorini and Snowmass to name just a few.

The private homes and villas where each Quintess member and family reside are all multimillion-dollar estates, each with a dedicated staff of travel planners and knowledgeable local hosts.

Aman Springs Living Room, Jackson Hole

A perfect example of the Quintess Collection home and vacation is the estate in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Called Aman Springs at Amangani, this Quintess residence has spectacular views of the Tetons and the Wyoming wilderness. The residence has large wood-burning fireplaces, wide stone terraces, and a barbecue. The 5,000 square foot residence has four master suites, each with deep soaking tubs. And of course, it is in Jackson Hole, known for its world class skiing, as well as its proximity to Yellowstone Park. And that is just one of the many residence options offered by the Quintess Collection.

Another reason the Quintess Collection defines a unique place in the elite shared residence world is that it has moved beyond its one original Destination Club idea and now encompasses three distinct portfolios — Quintess, Quintess Beyond and Quintess Adventures. The first provides access to multimillion-dollar homes that offer spacious havens for true relaxation. No matter the member chooses to travel, there are pre-trip planning services and insider information of Collective iQ™. Upon the members’ arrival, the local Destination Hosts handle every detail, ensuring seamless vacation experiences for the member.

Quintess Adventures, India

The second is Quintess Beyond which takes members into the world of privately owned villas, city apartments, and world-class properties (…) The third is Quintess Adventures, one of a kind experiences curated by the club’s experts in partnership with world‐class travel providers. The most recent travel provider is the Quintess partnership with Blue Star Jets, allowing members even more options for personalized travel experiences. The Club’s new partnership with Blue Star Jets provides members an added benefit of customized charter air travel with savings on private flights. Blue Star Jets is the largest broker of private jets for hire, so with four hours’ notice, Blue Star Jets can have a jet anywhere in the world ready to fly two to sixteen people, whether for business or leisure.

But there are more strategic partnerships that puts Quintess beyond first class, as each provides a distinct advantage to the Quintess member when traveling.
